Ontario Security Guard Training


The Ontario Security Guard Training Course is an online program designed to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to work effectively as a security guard in Ontario. It is structured in compliance with the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA).

The duration of the course can vary depending on the individual's learning pace. However, the minimum requirement for the security guard basic training course is 40 hours including Emergency First Aid & CPR Training.

The course covers a wide range of topics including: Introduction to the Security Industry, Basic Security Procedures, Report Writing, Health and Safety, Emergency Response Preparation, Canadian Legal System, Legal Authorities, Effective Communications, Sensitivity Training, Use of Force Theory, and Emergency-level First Aid Certification.

No prior experience or qualifications are necessary to enrol in the Ontario Security Guard Training Course. The course is designed for both newcomers to the industry and experienced professionals.

Yes, the course is completely online and can be accessed anytime, anywhere. It's designed to be flexible and adaptable to your schedule. However, if you are also enrolled in Emergency First Aid & CPR Training, you will have to attend 6.5 hours in-person for first aid and CPR training.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a training completion number that you can use to apply for Ontario Security guard Test.

After completing the course, you must pass ontario security guard test and then apply for and obtain a security guard license from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services before you can work as a security guard in Ontario.

No, the Security Guard Test and License application fee is separate and is not included in the course fee.

Emergency First Aid & CPR Training


Emergency First Aid & CPR Training is a mandatory requirement for the Ontario Security Guard Training. It equips individuals with essential skills to respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care until professional medical assistance arrives.

There are two options to enroll, you can choose to enroll with or without Emergency First Aid & CPR Training. Emergency First Aid & CPR Training is conducted separately by our third-party contractors. However, it's a prerequisite for obtaining a security guard license in Ontario.

Once you purchase the Emergency First Aid & CPR Training, our team will call you within 24 hours to book your class schedule.

After completion of the Emergency First Aid & CPR Training, we will upload your certificate to your account.

If you already have a valid Emergency First Aid & CPR certificate, you can upload it to your account. We will verify it and upon successful verification, the training completion number for the security guard training will be issued.

Security Guard Practice Tests


NO, but for some tests account is required. Also, to save your test progress and results, you need to create an account and log in before starting a practice test.

Yes, the practice tests are available for free. However, some tests might require you to be logged into your account. Account resgitration is also free.

Our practice tests are designed to test knowlege and to prepare students for real exam. They encompass the key topics that are covered in the real exam to ensure that you are well-prepared.

No, there is no limit. You can take the practice tests as many times as you need to feel prepared for the actual exam. You can reset you test progress to remove your saved answers and start over.

Yes, our team regularly updates the practice tests to reflect the current standards and requirements of the Ontario Security Guard Test.

Yes, your progress on the practice tests will be saved, but only if you are logged into your account.
